Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end close
- Prepare financial statements and variance analysis for executive leadership
- Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and reporting
- Lead process improvement initiatives using automation tools
- Conduct audits and ensure regulatory compliance (GAAP/FASB)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and train on new systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA/Power Query)
- Demonstrated success with month-end closes and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to C-suite
