Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure timely filing with relevant authorities.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance team to forecast budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Ensure all financial data is secure and backed up according to company policy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA, CMA, or EA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong time management skills.
