In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and providing critical insights to our leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis for various departments.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and tax filings.
- Collaborate with team members to improve internal controls and financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
