Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and year-end audits.
- Review financial reports for errors and discrepancies, recommending corrections.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Maintain organized and secure filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience (CPA preferred but not required).
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel (Advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
