Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
- Support the audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist with tax preparation and filings as required by local and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
