Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and perform monthly closing procedures.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial analysis and strategic planning support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations applicable in New Mexico.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
