Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies and market paradigms through 2030
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for geopolitical, climate, and technological inflection points
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into strategic priorities
- Author annual 'Future State' whitepapers positioning company thought leadership
- Advise executive team on emerging risks and opportunities in the 2026-2030 timeframe
- Build and maintain expert network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Integrate foresight metrics into corporate KPIs and innovation pipelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial strategies
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, nanotech)
- Exceptional scenario modeling and systems thinking capabilities
- Published thought leadership in futurist or strategy publications
- Experience advising Fortune 500 executives on long-term transformation
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, horizon scanning, STEEP analysis)
