Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on emerging technologies (AGI, quantum applications, biotech convergence) and their 2026+ market impacts
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks to anticipate industry disruptions and competitive threats
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate future-proofing into corporate strategy
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype solutions for 2026-era challenges
- Author visionary whitepapers and scenario-planning models for investor/board presentations
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of futurists, technologists, and academic partners
- Translate complex future trends into actionable product development roadmaps
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or technology forecasting
- Proven track record in anticipating tech disruptions (e.g., AI, blockchain, climate tech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum, biotech, space)
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., STEEP analysis, Delphi method)
- Portfolio of published future-strategy documents or thought leadership
- Start-up or scale-up environment experience preferred
