Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Process payroll and manage payroll taxes in strict compliance with California labor laws.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and support during financial audits.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve vendor inquiries efficiently.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both digital and physical documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
