Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger entries
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions with weekend-specific deadlines
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Collaborate with auditors during weekend engagements
- Support tax preparation activities during off-peak periods
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Weekend availability is mandatory (Saturday/Sunday, 8am-5pm)
- Certification (CPA or CMA) preferred
