As a Weekend Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity, ensuring that all weekend transactions are processed correctly and on time. You will work closely with our accounting department to reconcile accounts, manage invoices, and prepare financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Process and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a weekly basis.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage and process invoices, ensuring all vendor and client payments are accurate and timely.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with weekend payroll duties, ensuring all employee hours and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Bookkeeping Software: Maintain accurate records using industry-standard accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly financial summaries and variance reports to assist management in decision-making.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, with specific experience in weekend shifts preferred.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and ensure data accuracy in high volumes.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability during weekend hours.
