Responsibilities
- Reconcile Accounts: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Bookkeeping Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate financial statements and reports for clients on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with processing payroll for select clients, ensuring all deductions and taxes are calculated correctly.
- Data Entry: Input and verify financial transactions into accounting software with a high degree of precision.
- Client Support: Answer client inquiries regarding account balances and transaction history during business hours.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays (and possibly Sundays) on a consistent basis.
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
