Responsibilities
- Process Weekly Payroll: Accurately calculate and distribute bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are correct.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for internal review.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and weekly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and categorize invoices, process payments, and issue receipts to vendors and clients.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist in the preparation of month-end close procedures, including accruals and adjustments.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial trends and provide insights to the management team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays on a consistent basis.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure high accuracy in all financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- CPA: CPA certification is a plus but not required.
