As a Weekend Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the fiscal health of our diverse client portfolio. This position requires weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday) with occasional weekday flexibility for month-end closes.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
- Process payroll and manage accounts payable/receivable on weekends
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for financial records
- Collaborate with weekday accounting team for seamless month-end closes
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3+ years of accounting experience with weekend shift availability
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
