Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with IRS regulations and state laws
- Analyze financial statements to identify tax-saving opportunities
- Manage client relationships and provide proactive tax planning advice
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte) for efficient processing
- Collaborate with audit team on tax-related financial reporting
- Maintain accurate client documentation and file management systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (CPA or EA candidates preferred)
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Nebraska CPA license or eligibility to obtain within 6 months
