Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closing, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow
- Lead tax preparation and compliance filings for federal, state, and local jurisdictions
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and regulatory inspections
- Maintain fixed asset ledger and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
