We are urgently seeking a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Sacramento. Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll bi-weekly using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate garnishments, deductions, and tax withholdings
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Generate payroll reports for internal stakeholders and auditors
- Manage year-end tax filings (W-2, 1099, 941)
- Support HR with time-off tracking and benefits administration
- Implement payroll process improvements using automation tools
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience (multi-state preferred)
- ADP certification or equivalent payroll software proficiency
- Deep knowledge of CA labor laws and FLSA compliance
- BS in Accounting/Finance or related field required
- Expertise in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- PHR/SPHR certification a plus
- Proven problem-solving with audit resolution experience
- Ability to handle confidential data with discretion
