Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain and update financial records in our accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero).
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory documents.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a part-time or freelance capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks is a plus).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
