Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Analysis: Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and collateral to determine the risk level of loan applications.
- Prepare Credit Reports: Draft detailed credit memos and presentations for lending committees to support decision-making processes.
- Risk Assessment: Monitor existing accounts for deteriorating credit quality and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files in our internal systems and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with loan officers and relationship managers to provide guidance on credit policies and procedures.
- Market Research: Stay informed on economic trends and industry-specific risks affecting our borrower base.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or commercial lending.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and experience with loan origination software (e.g., SoftPro, FIS, or similar).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when reviewing documents and preparing reports.
