Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process and prepare accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate vendor records.
- Receivable management, including invoicing clients and tracking outstanding balances.
- Prepare and generate monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end tax documents and audits as required.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to streamline financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and MS Office suite.
- Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- High attention to detail and ability to detect discrepancies in financial data.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
