Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99.7% accuracy across multiple payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through detailed account reconciliation and documentation
- Conduct compliance audits for HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Train staff on billing software updates and process improvements
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for executive leadership
- Collaborate with collections team on aged accounts receivable
- Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial insurance carriers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC-A credential required
- Expertise in Epic, NextGen, or Athenahealth billing platforms
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
- Proven ability to resolve complex claim denials
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
