Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate reconciliation.
- Assist in external audits and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and compliance regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
