Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust internal controls
- Collaborate with leadership on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state/federal tax requirements
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, auditing, and tax preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with nonprofit or healthcare accounting a plus
