Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely billing and payments.
- Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
- Generate financial reports and variance analysis for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero (Advanced Excel skills required).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus but not required.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
