Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all reconciliations (bank, credit card, inter-company) are completed monthly.
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to management.
- Streamline financial reporting processes and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial data support for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal tax regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and present actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
