Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filing to avoid penalties.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Perform internal audits and assist external auditors during the review process.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Ensure strict compliance with all financial regulations and company internal policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting or a related financial field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel (advanced functions like VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
