Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and ensure all payments are made on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss statements.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate general ledger records and journal entries.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for a small team of employees, ensuring all deductions and tax filings are correct.
- Compliance: Stay updated on federal and state tax regulations and ensure all financial documentation is compliant.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online (or Xero) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
- Reliability: Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
