Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret federal/state regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC, Hawaii DFI) to ensure organizational compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training programs
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments across banking, investment, and insurance operations
- Investigate potential compliance violations and recommend corrective actions
- Liaise with regulatory agencies during examinations and audits
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior management and board committees
- Stay updated on emerging regulatory trends and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years compliance experience in financial services or regulated industry
- Active CRCM, CAMS, or CCEP certification strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of Hawaii state and federal financial regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation abilities
- Proficiency with compliance software (e.g., OnBase, ComplyAdvantage)
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environment with competing priorities
