Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for leadership review
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for all financial transactions
- Manage bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies within 24 hours
- Coordinate with auditors during quarterly and annual financial reviews
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Proven ability to manage multi-currency transactions and sales tax filings
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex reconciliations
- Professional certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor, AAP) a plus
- Experience with construction or manufacturing accounting a significant advantage
