Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Oversee VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and HMRC compliance
- Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to senior leadership
- Implement and optimize internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with auditors during external financial reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years of UK-based accounting experience
- Expert knowledge of UK GAAP, VAT regulations, and HMRC requirements
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience in financial reporting and compliance
