Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, on a monthly basis.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns and supporting documentation.
- Conduct routine audits of financial records and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure all deductions and withholdings are calculated correctly.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
- CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory for this urgent hire.
