Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal and state individual and business tax returns (Form 1040, 1120, 1065) with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance for all clients.
- Communicate professionally with clients to gather necessary documentation, answer tax-related questions, and explain complex tax concepts in simple terms.
- Review financial data for errors and discrepancies before submission to minimize audit risk.
- Utilize industry-leading tax preparation software to input data and generate reports.
- Collaborate with senior tax advisors to continuously improve technical skills and service delivery.
- Meet all filing deadlines to maintain client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
