Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business income tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1065) accurately and timely.
- Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Communicate complex tax information clearly and professionally to clients, providing guidance on optimization strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for audit purposes.
- Manage client documentation, maintain organized records, and meet strict filing deadlines.
- Collaborate with senior accountants and managers to improve processes and deliver exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or enrolled agent (EA) designation preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake, Lacerte) and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a client-first mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
