Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
- Analyze financial statements to identify tax-saving opportunities for clients
- Collaborate with senior associates on complex tax planning strategies
- Maintain accurate client documentation using proprietary tax software
- Represent clients during IRS/state tax authority communications
- Stay updated on tax legislation changes and implement procedural updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (CPA candidates strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSystem fx)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client relationship abilities
- Valid Nevada CPA license or active pursuit designation
