Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Analyze financial statements to identify tax planning opportunities
- Research complex tax issues and provide compliance guidance
- Collaborate with senior staff on client engagements and special projects
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, CCH) for efficient processing
- Develop expertise in S-Corp, LLC, and partnership taxation
- Assist with IRS audits and state tax inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (public or corporate)
- Active CPA license or significant progress toward certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Texas residency required for immediate start
