Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual and business income tax returns accurately and timely.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies and year-end preparation.
- Communicate with clients regarding documentation requests and return status.
- Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, or TurboTax) to process returns.
- Perform bookkeeping tasks and bank reconciliations as needed.
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and complete paid training requirements.
