Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and C-Corporations.
- Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues and provide actionable recommendations to clients.
- Assist senior staff with tax planning strategies to minimize liability and maximize deductions.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax inquiries, filing statuses, and audit preparation.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures related to tax compliance and financial reporting.
- Stay current on changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA, EA, or relevant tax preparation experience preferred.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSeries, UltraTax, Drake) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
