Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and business clients
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning advice to optimize client outcomes
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and timely deliverables
- Utilize ProSystem fx and Lacerte software for efficient tax processing
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex multi-state filings
- Maintain compliance with IRS and Louisiana Department of Revenue regulations
- Support audit responses and documentation requests from tax authorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Proficiency in tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar)
- Strong understanding of federal and Louisiana tax codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work 25-30 hours weekly with adjustable schedule
