Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with IRS regulations and tax codes
- Manage client communications and address tax-related inquiries
- Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and deductions
- Utilize tax software (ProSeries, Lacerte, or similar) for efficient processing
- Collaborate with audit team for tax provision calculations
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (CPA or EA preferred)
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of individual and corporate taxation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid Texas CPA license or active pursuit thereof
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
