Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with IRS and state regulations
- Conduct thorough tax research to resolve complex client issues and optimize tax strategies
- Review financial statements and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on audit support and tax planning initiatives
- Maintain organized client records using tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries)
- Provide responsive client communication regarding tax matters and filing deadlines
- Stay updated on tax law changes through continuous professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of tax preparation experience with direct filing responsibilities
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Valid PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
