Responsibilities
- Prepare and file complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax planning strategies to optimize client savings and compliance
- Perform in-depth research on evolving tax legislation and regulations
- Lead IRS audit support and resolution processes
- Maintain meticulous client documentation and confidentiality protocols
- Collaborate with senior partners on multi-state tax compliance projects
- Utilize advanced tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte) for efficient processing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Masters preferred)
- 3+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Expertise in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation
- Proficiency with tax compliance software and document management systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial data
- Excellent written/verbal communication and client management abilities
- Active CPA license or willingness to pursue immediately
