Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state individual and corporate income tax returns.
- Conduct thorough tax research to ensure compliance with the latest IRS regulations and local laws.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain complex tax concepts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for audits.
- Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte) to manage filing deadlines.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax files and client records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation (CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory).
- Strong understanding of U.S. tax code and filing requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
