Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and general account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with the monthly and annual close process, including detailed variance analysis.
- Support external and internal audit requirements by providing requested schedules and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 1-3 years of progressive experience in general accounting or a related financial role.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active CPA candidate status is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
