Responsibilities
- Prepare & Review Tax Returns: Accurately prepare individual, corporate, and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns using industry-standard software.
- Tax Research: Conduct thorough research to interpret complex tax codes and regulations, ensuring full compliance with changing laws.
- Client Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by explaining complex tax strategies in a clear, professional manner.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements and records to identify potential tax savings opportunities and mitigate audit risks.
- Compliance Support: Assist in responding to tax notices and supporting the firm during external and internal audits.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior accountants and auditors to ensure seamless integration of tax services within broader financial consulting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation is required.
- Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in tax preparation and compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax preparation software such as ProSeries, Lacerte, or CCH Axcess.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to the Scottsdale office for team meetings and client events (up to 20% of the time).
