Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate and individual clients
- Conduct tax research and provide compliance guidance on evolving tax legislation
- Manage client relationships through quarterly tax planning meetings
- Lead audits and IRS correspondence with precision and professionalism
- Mentor junior associates on tax preparation best practices
- Utilize ProSystem fx and CCH Axcess for efficient workflow management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of public tax accounting experience
- Proficiency in tax software (ProSystem fx, CCH, Lacerte)
- Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and Florida tax codes
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active Florida CPA license or eligibility
