Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns ensuring compliance with IRS regulations
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic recommendations to optimize client tax positions
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and quarterly tax planning sessions
- Lead audit support engagements and resolve IRS inquiries efficiently
- Mentor junior associates and develop team-wide best practices
- Utilize ProSystem fx and other advanced tax software for accurate filing
- Stay current on tax law changes through continuous professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of tax preparation experience with public accounting firms
- Proficiency in tax software including ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or CCH Axcess
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Active CPA license or willingness to pursue immediately
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
