We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing critical insights to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and compliant with GAAP.
- Perform complex account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits by providing requested schedules and documentation.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper coding and classification of transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
