Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 client portfolios including AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state-specific tax regulations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with audit support
- Develop and implement financial controls for operational efficiency
- Provide strategic financial consulting to small and medium-sized businesses
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online and Sage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online and Sage 100
- Proven track record with multi-state tax compliance
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines in a remote environment
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
