Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Lead financial audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Develop and implement financial controls to optimize cash flow and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights for business decisions
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor management systems
- Prepare detailed financial statements, variance analyses, and executive dashboards
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in remote roles
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of managing full-cycle accounting for mid-sized companies
- Deep knowledge of tax compliance and multi-state regulations
- Certifications (CPA, CMA) strongly preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software implementation
