Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Senior Quantum Software Engineer to lead our Research & Development division. As we approach the pivotal year of 2026 and the era of commercial quantum supremacy, Q-Core Dynamics is looking for a pioneer to architect the software layer that bridges classical computing with quantum processors.
In this role, you will not just write code; you will define the standard for quantum algorithms, error correction frameworks, and hybrid quantum-classical workflows. You will work in a high-performance, collaborative environment with access to the latest quantum hardware, pushing the boundaries of what is computationally possible.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement high-level quantum algorithms using industry-standard SDKs such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Develop and optimize error mitigation and error correction strategies to enhance quantum circuit fidelity.
- Collaborate directly with hardware engineers to optimize software code for specific quantum processor topologies and qubit architectures.
- Design complex hybrid quantum-classical workflows for optimization, simulation, and machine learning tasks.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on quantum software architecture and best practices.
- Conduct in-depth research and publish findings on quantum complexity, algorithmic efficiency, and new quantum applications.
- Translate theoretical quantum mechanics research into production-ready, scalable software solutions.
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent significant industry experience).
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, quantum computing principles, and quantum information theory.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with quantum software development kits (QDKs) like Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and numerical optimization.
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, AWS Braket, or Azure Quantum).
- Proven ability to translate theoretical research into practical, deployable software code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for exploring the frontiers of computational science.
